As a leading business and estate planning lawyer, Doug has been able to assist with some of the most dynamic entrepreneurs and distinctive families in the Rocky Mountain Region.  Trained in national and international large law firms, Doug has experience providing innovative solutions in business structuring, acquisitions, sales and reorganizations.  As a tax lawyer and estate planner, Doug is also sensitive to the issues associated with the creation of exit strategies for the transitions of a business to younger generations, others owners, and employers.  Doug has advised, negotiated, and settled disputes with the IRS as well as between fiduciaries and beneficiaries of estates and trusts.  On the planning side, Doug offers a wealth of knowledge to help solve a client’s most sophisticated business and estate planning issues.  After a death, Doug can help with the complexities associated with the Probate system and the IRS to relieve the loved ones from those burdens and to minimize taxes.
